Financial Aid

As you search for the right school for your child(ren), you may find that financing an independent school education represents a challenge for your family. We strongly urge you not to let the cost of tuition stand in the way of considering Ridgewood. We are committed to enrolling a socio-economically diverse community of families and we work individually with each family to help make Ridgewood an affordable option through our need based financial aid and our tuition assistance work program. We also provide tuition credits for new student referrals (see below).

Need Based Financial Aid

All families applying for financial assistance of any kind must complete an online financial aid application.  There is a $25 application fee payable when starting the application process which will be credited toward your tuition if financial aid is awarded.

Tuition Assistance Work Program

There are limited opportunities for parents to volunteer at Ridgewood in return for tuition discounts.  Please contact the Director of Recruitment and Development, Beth Woods, at 937-408-8114 for information.

Academic Scholarships

There are a limited number of Academic Scholarships for students in the middle school grades each school year.  Families interested in being considered for Academic Scholarships during the current school year should notify the school in the spring.

New Student Referral Tuition Credit

You can help us fill the classes at Ridgewood!

Ridgewood will provide any current family with a $500 tuition credit for each new student referred to Ridgewood by the current family and accepted for admission.  The following conditions apply to the new student referral tuition credit:

  • The new student must remain a student at Ridgewood for 90 calendar days for family to receive credit;
  • The family of the new student will be asked to identify the primary referring family;
  • Families who have less than $500 in remaining tuition obligations at the time of their entitlement to credit shall receive tuition credit for the following school year;
  • Current families may receive multiple new student referral credits, not to exceed their total tuition obligations for the current school year;
  • The re-enrollment of a child who has attended Ridgewood in the past does not generate a referral credit for a current family;
  • The enrollment of a child of a family with other children at Ridgewood does not generate a referral credit for a current family.

NOTE: The above measures have been approved for the current school year only. Though it is the Board’s present desire and intent that such measures will be continued in subsequent years, the Board reserves the right to eliminate or modify such measures at any time depending upon enrollment, the school’s financial condition, and any other relevant considerations.
