We asked our students, graduates, and parents to describe the best parts of Ridgewood.  This is what they told us:

“Although my years at Ridgewood are memorable for the family-like feeling I had while there, the true value of my Ridgewood education did not completely reveal itself until years later in college. It was then that the ability to compose essays with ease, a strong foundation in foreign language, and other skills developed at Ridgewood surfaced and made a difference. Most importantly, I felt a level of comfort in a setting of highly motivated students that was very similar to my experience at Ridgewood.”    Ridgewood Alumnus & Parent

"I think that Ridgewood could be a model for all schools. Students are treated as family, academics come first, and values are taught, but not through religion." Ridgewood Alumnus

"This is the number one strength I take from my Ridgewood experiences. Ridgewood was like being exposed to a global population in one school and taught me not to be apprehensive about people of other races and cultures." Ridgewood Alumnus

"What I like best about Ridgewood is that they make learning fun!" Ridgewood 3rd grade student

“My experiences at Ridgewood went far beyond the academic. My relationships with other students and teachers was like that of a big, close family.” Ridgewood Alumnus

"What is totally awesome is that the teachers do what is best for students, not for themselves. They will provide extra study time, for example. They are great teachers." Ridgewood Student

"The teachers really shaped my life and put things in perspective for my life." Ridgewood Alumnus

"Ridgewood taught me the value of learning and succeeding in school – that it is OK to be smart!" Ridgewood Alumnus

"I ended up excelling in Ridgewood rather than slipping into cracks as I did in the public schools." Ridgewood Alumnus

"I remember that in college classes, I could rely on some of the things I learned at Ridgewood to get through the college level classes." Ridgewood Alumnus

“Ridgewood more than prepared me for several aspects of high school and college. The smaller environment allowed for personal attention to my developmental needs, both academically and socially, which gave me greater confidence in later years.” Ridgewood Alumnus
